The Jackson County Central girls basketball team won its 11th straight game Friday as the Huskies were 86-82 winners at Belle Plaine. The Tigers led 47-46 at halftime.
JCC had won the first game between the teams 89-70 on Jan. 3 in Jackson.
Rylie Cother capped a remarkable week by leading Jackson County Central with 53 points. She had scored 61 Monday at Maple River and 38 at home vs. Pipestone for 152 points in three games.
JCC is one of eight Class 2A teams in the state with a winning streak in double figures. You can read more on that below.
The Huskies, 15-6, will host Windom (16-5) in the second game of a boy-girl doubleheader at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Double digit win streaks
There number of Class 2A girls basketball teams in the state with double-digit winning streaks has dropped into single digits.
Heading into play on Thursday there were 13 teams that had won 10 or more games in a row. Two of those teams lost on Thursday and three more lost on Friday to bring that number down to eight.
As mentioned, Jackson County Central is on that list, having won its 12th straight game Friday at Belle Plaine.
Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (20-1) started the season with 20 straight wins before losing 65-53 at MACCRAY (14-5) on Friday. JCC defeated MACCRAY 65-31 in Marshall on Dec. 28.
Menahga (17-1) lost for the first time this season Friday, losing 72-68 to Class 3A Rock Ridge (16-4).
Caledonia (19-3) had a 10-game winning streak stopped 64-60 by Class 1A Goodhue (17-4) Thursday. The Warriors started a new streak Saturday with an 80-37 win over Maple River (6-15) in Rochester.
Mesabi East (14-4) had won 10 straight before a 66-65 loss to Hermantown (12-6) on Thursday.
