
With Fairmont coming in for an early season clash on Wednesday, the Jackson Bulls moved their record to 2-0 on the young amateur baseball season Sunday with an 11-7 win over Pipestone at Wacker Field.
The visiting A’s scored one run in the first inning and added four in the second for a 5-0 lead. Jackson scored four in the third and Pipestone put two in the board in the fifth before the Bulls scored fourth in the fifth and three in the sixth.
It was a scheduled seven-inning game because Pipestone played later in the day at Lakefield.
Evan Olesen had three hits including a double, walked once and had four runs batted in for Jackson. Andy Wolf had two hit and two RBI.
Seth Busch had an RBI double, Will Larson doubled, while Chris Gumto and Ben Gallagher each had a hit and walked once for the Bulls.
Also collecting hits were Carter Snyder, Shad Wacker and Blaise Jacobsen.
Trace Michelson, Talan Holm, Landon Vaske and Larson all pitched for Jackson.
The Bulls will host Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Pipestone won 7-4 at Lakefield later Sunday afternoon.
