Huskies to compete in Redwood Falls
Jackson County Central will compete in the seven-team Section 3A gymnastics meet on Saturday at Redwood Valley High School in Redwood Falls.
March-in and introductions are at 11:45 a.m., with competition beginning at noon.
Worthington has won the Section 3A title 11 consecutive years.
The Trojans were sixth in the final state ratings by the Minnesota Girls Gymnastics Coaches Association with a 141.542 average. No other Section 3A team is in the top 20.
Team champions will advance to the state team competition on Friday, Feb. 20 at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.
Individually, the top three in the all-around and the top three finishers who didn’t qualify in all around, will compete in the individual portion of the state meet Saturday, Feb. 21, also at Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
JCC has one gymnast that has qualified for the state meet.
Senior Clara Brinks qualified on beam as a sophomore in 2024 and placed 27th out of 48 competitors.
