New Ulm rallied from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits to win 3-2 over Jackson County Central in a volleyball matchup Thursday night. Set scores were 18-25, 25-21, 13-25, 25-21, 15-12.
Emma Haren had 22 kills and 21 digs for the Huskies while going 11-for-14 serving with one ace; Kylee Wenzel had 12 kills, two digs and was 1-1 serving; Sawyer Flatgard had eight kills, two blocks, one dig and was 9-13 serving with one ace; and Hannah Hash had four kills, two blocks and was 6-10 serving with one ace.
Elese Paplow had 23 set assists, 14 digs, four kills and as 25-27 serving with one ace; Bailey Finck had 15 set assists, 10 digs, two kills, one block and was 10-13 serving with one ace; and Megan Benson had 14 digs and was 17-21 serving with three aces.
Also, Lauren Johnson posted 14 digs and four set assists; Belle Schultz had three digs and was 4-5 serving with an ace; and Madelyn Rowe had two blocks and one digs.
Jackson County Central will play in the Class AA Showcase at Midwest Volleyball Warehouse in Burnsville Friday and Saturday. Details on that tournament can be found in a separate newsletter.
