Martin County West is seeded fifth for the Section 3A football playoffs and will play at fourth-seeded Sleepy Eye United in the first round on Tuesday.
The Mavericks closed out their regular season with a 34-12 win at St. James Area to even their record at 4-4.
Berent Kosbab led MCW in rushing with 128 yards on eight carries including one touchdown. Cameron Meyer carried the ball 14 times for 86 yards and three touchdowns. Jacob Wilmes scored the other touchdown for the Mavericks.
Lucas Larson caught two passes for 57 yards and Kosbab had two receptions for six yards. Maddex Faber was 6-for-10 passing for 74 yards.
Pierce Rohman had eight tackles for Martin County West. Faber, Meyer and Wilmes each had five.
SEU defeated MCW 36-30 in their regular season meeting. The winner plays at top-seeded Springfield (8-0) Saturday.
