Top-seeded Jackson County Central rolled to a 55-13 win over Minnesota Valley Lutheran in the semifinals of the Section 3AA football playoffs at a cold and snowy Swearingen Field Saturday afternoon.
Seth Stai scored three touchdowns for JCC, all in the first quarter. He scored from 20, 3 and 3 yards out. Stai rushed for 124 yards on 19 carries.
Roman Voss also scored three TDs, scoring on runs of 18 and 17 yards and catching a 15-yard touchdown pass from Brenan Runge. Voss ran the ball nine times for 155 yards, caught the one pass for 15 yards and was 3-for-10 passing for 28 yards.
Clay Malchow scored from six yards out and Carter Buhl ran one in from 31 yards out.
Jack Sadusky was 7-for-7 on extra-point attempts. The Huskies took a knee following their final touchdown.
The Huskies, 9-0, advance to Friday’s 11:30 a.m. championship game vs. Redwood Valley (7-3) at Mattke Field at the Regional Events Center at Southwest Minnesota State University. The Cardinals defeated Windom 49-20 in Saturday’s other semifinal.
