The Jackson County Central boys basketball team had four players score in double figures and another narrowly miss in a 103-59 victory over Windom at home Saturday night.
Roman Voss scored 36 points, Weston Rowe 20, Grant Freking 18, Aiven Farmer 12 and Ben Gallagher nine as the Huskies improved their record to 11-4.
Windom Area’s girls hockey team was at home Saturday, falling to Mankato West 5-3 at Windom Arena. The Eagles are 9-11-1.
In wrestling, Martin County placed fourth out of six teams at the Cougar Invitational hosted by Mankato East. Pierce Rohman (121) and Torrey Paplow (133) won their weight classes.
JCC hosted the Region One Ninth Grade Wrestling League tournament, and two Huskies will be advancing to the state tourney, Cael Entriken (145) and Drake Grein (152). Jackson County Central placed third out of 15 teams.
The JCC cheer team placed second in their state competition in St. Paul.
Jackson County Central graduate Pat Garvin’s Bethany Lutheran men’s basketball team defeated Martin Luther College 94-68 Saturday in New Ulm to remain unbeaten in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play with an 8-0 record. The Vikings are 16-3 overall.
