Jaxson Rohman will return home from the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships as an all-American.
A Martin County West graduate and a sophomore at Augustana University, Rohman went 2-0 Friday on the first day of the tournament, being held at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids.
Rohman, making his second appearance in the national tournament, will place in the top six.
Seeded fifth, Rohman opened Friday with an 8-3 win over Gannon's Jose Diaz.
In the quarterfinals Friday night, Rohman won 6-4 over fourth-seeded Shane Corrigan of Parkside.
Rohman, 17-5 on the season, wrestles top-seeded Cole Laya of West Liberty (22-2) in the semifinals on Saturday morning.
