Levi Lindley will represent Jackson County Central in the 49th Minnesota High School All Star Game at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium. The game is sponsored by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and the Minnesota Vikings.
Lindley was named to the team as an outside linebacker for the South squad.
It’s the second straight year the Huskies have had a player named to compete in the game.
OLB Bradley Buhl and QB Rudy Voss played for the South in their 13-3 win in 2019. Last year’s game was canceled.
Among the other players named to the South team were:
DB Zach Jorgensen, Fairmont
LB Jarret Ahlschalger, Waseca
DL Nolan Buckholtz, Maple River
OL Kean Hicks, Blue Earth Area
DB Drew Lundeen, Redwood Valley
Matt Lundeen of Redwood Valley is among the assistant coaches for the South.
Shakopee’s Ray Betton is head coach for the South. Marc Franz of Rogers will be head coach for the North.
The All-Star game used a North-South format from 1945-1960 and 1974-1979. A Metro-Outstate format was used from 1980-2010 before going back to North-South.
Under the current format, the South leads the series 8-2.
