All-Star game
Rowe, Voss have another game at the Bank

Jackson County Central will have two representatives in the Minnesota High School Football All-Star Game on Saturday, Dec. 13 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
Offensive tackle Weston Rowe, listed at 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds; and quarterback Roman Voss (6-4, 235) are on the 45-man South roster.
This game is organized by the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Football Coaches Association. Proceeds from ticket sales going to the MFCA and the Tackle Cancer Campaign.
It’s the second time Jackson County Central has two players on the team in the same game. Bradley Buhl and Rudy Voss played in the 2019 game.
Jackson High School had two representatives in the game in 1974, quarterback Scott Bargfrede and assistant coach Wes Wistrom.
JCC has had 15 participants in the game since the school district was formed in 1997. Prior to that, Jackson High School had 10.
Rowe will wear jersey number 72 for the game. Voss, who wore No. 2 and later No. 4 with the Huskies, has been assigned No. 16.
A total of eight players from Big South Conference schools have been named to play.
Marshall also has two, linebacker Andrew Stelter and defensive tackle JR Vierstraete.
Others who will play are Fairmont center Tyler Bicknase, Waseca defensive back Deron Russell and St. Peter offensive lineman Parker Maloney. Pipestone linebacker Xavier Banjoko was selected but will not play due to an injury.
Also named to the team was linebacker Jack Carlson of Goodhue, the team JCC defeated in the state championship game.

Format
The All-Star game used a North-South format from 1945-1960 and 1974-1979. A Metro-Outstate format was used from 1980-2010 before going back to North-South.
Under the current format, the South leads the series 11-3. The South also leads the overall North-South series 19-11-1.
The all-star game was played in the summer until 2016, when it switched to December and moved to U.S. Bank Stadium.
The South All-Stars have won seven of the eight games played at U.S. Bank Stadium, including a 24-10 victory in 2024.

Assistant coach
One of the assistant coaches for the South team will be Jackson High School graduate Dustin Bosshart.
He’s an assistant coach at Cleveland and is also the school’s Superintendent.
