Carsen Musser recorded the win in goal as the U.S. National Under-18 hockey team defeated Lindenwood University 6-1 Saturday night at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
Lindenwood is a NCAA Division I team that is not affiliated with a conference. The Under-18 team has a 16-5-1 record vs. NCAA teams this season and is 36-7-2 overall.
A Sherburn native, Musser made 12 saves in picking up his 12th win of the season.
For the season, Musser has played in 23 games and has a 12-5 record. He’s played 1,070 minutes and 38 seconds and has a save percentage of .896 and his goals-against average is 2.91.
The U18s return to the ice next weekend as they travel to Green Bay for a pair of games against the Gamblers on Friday and Saturday nights at the Resch Center.
