Martin County West graduate Brandon Williamson had another strong start for the Double-A Central Arkansas Travelers Friday night.
Williamson allowed only one hit in six shutout innings vs. the Wichita Wind Surge at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock, Ark. He walked three and struck out eight.
Williamson did throw a wild pitch and commit a throwing error. He threw 92 pitches, 60 for strikes.
The Travelers led 4-0 when Williamson left the game. Wichita would come back to win 6-5 in 10 innings.
Williamson has made 17 appearances this season between Arkansas and High-A Everett.
In 87.1 innings, he's allowed 41 runs (34 earned) on 70 hits, walked 32 and struck out 134. Williamson has a 3.50 earned-run average.
