PARKSTON, S.D. – Jackson County Central had an individual champion in eight of the 12 weight classes where they entered a wrestler as the Huskies rolled to the team title at the Little B wrestling tournament Saturday.
The Huskies piled up 302.5 points to finish first in the 14-team field. The host Trojans were second with 163 points.
JCC had two weights where it had three wrestlers place. Teams could enter more than one wrestler at a weight to fill out a bracket. Only one wrestler counted in the team standings.
At 132 pounds, Logan Buton placed first, Trey Rossow second and Andrew Boyum third.
At 138, Thomas Freking was first, Seth Stai third and Skyler Andrews fifth.
Other champions for the Huskies were Nolan Ambrose (1113), Kie Anderson (120), Payton Handevidt (160), Matthew Haley (170), Caleb Vancura (182) and William Freking (195).

Jackson County Central has duals scheduled Tuesday and Thursday.
The Huskies, ranked second in Class 1A by The Guillotine, host No. 7 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.
That is also Hall of Fame Night. This year’s inductees into the Jackson County Wrestling Hall of Fame are Joe Skow, Luke and Lori Henning and Rose Schultz. JV matches start at 6 p.m. followed by the HOF induction and the varsity dual.
On Thursday, JCC heads to Pipestone to take on both the host Arrows and Worthington.
