Carsen Musser picked up another win Saturday for the Madison Capitols of the United States Hockey League as he continues to rank high among the league’s goalies.
The Sherburn native made 22 saves on 24 shots in Madison’s 3-2 overtime win over the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders at Bob Suter Capitol Ice in Middletown, Wis.
Musser recorded eight stops in the first period, seven in the second, six in the third and one in overtime.
Musser has a 7-2-2-2 record (wins-losses-overtime losses-shootout losses).
His goals against average of 2.56 is third in the 16-team league and his .906 save percentage is fourth.
Musser is a Colorado College commit. He was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the sixth round (166th overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft.
Madison is 13-6-4-2 on the season for 32 points, tied for fourth in the USHL’s Eastern Conference.
The Capitols are off until facing the Chicago Steel in a home-and-home series Dec. 29-30.
