KODAK, Tenn. – Brandon Williamson recorded his fourth win of the season Saturday night as the Chattanooga Lookouts were 8-7 winners over the Tennessee Smokies in the Double-A Southern League.
Chattanooga led 4-1 when Williamson left the game.
Williamson now has a 4-1 record for the Lookouts, who are an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The Smokies are an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
On Saturday, the Martin County West graduate pitched five innings, allowing one run on two hits, walking four and striking out four. He threw 95 pitches, 55 for strikes.
For the season, Williamson has a 4.35 earned run average. He’s pitched 39 and one-third innings, giving up 19 runs on 35 hits, walking 23 and striking out 43.
He has moved up to fourth in strikeouts in the Southern League.
