Pipestone defeated Fox Lake 7-1 in an amateur baseball game on Sunday in Truman. The game was scheduled for seven innings because the A’s had played a game earlier in the day at Fairmont.
The Foxes had four hits.
Keegan Hastad doubled and scored Fox Lake’s lone run on Kaiden Musser’s RBI single. Steven Zehms also doubled for the Foxes and Dalen Kelton had a hit.
Paxton Gravlin took the pitching loss. He went the distance, allowing seven runs (six earned) on eight hits, walking one and striking out 12.
Mitchell Carson went the distance to record the win for Pipestone. He also had two hits for the A’s along with Merrick Heidebrink and Greg Quist.
The Foxes are idle until hosting Lakefield on Wednesday, May 28.
