MCW baseball has conference games Monday, Tuesday
Martin County West’s baseball team has Valley Conference games on back-to-back days to start the next week.
The Mavericks are at Cleveland on Monday and host Nicollet on Tuesday at the Fox Lake Area Sports Complex. The Clippers are currently 1-2 overall (0-1 in the Valley and the Raiders are 0-4 (0-1).
Coach Jon Traetow’s Mavericks are 1-3 on the season after an 11-0 loss at home to Mankato Loyola on Thursday.
MCW had three hits, one apiece by Brock Jagodzinske, Easton Kuehl and Kaleb Kennedy. Noah Meixell took the pitching loss, with Liam Pytleski also taking the mound vs. the Crusaders.
Loyola did all of its scoring in two innings, putting two runs on the board in the second and six in the third.
Martin County West closes out the week Friday with a 4:30 p.m. nonconference game at Windom (3-1, 3-1 Big South Conference Gold Division).
