Lynda Carter added her name to the list of winners of the prestigious Randon Bracket Challenge this week.
Carter, best known as the star of the live-action television series Wonder Woman, in the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, and all of the participants were honored at the Random Bracket Challenge IV Awards Banquet Saturday night at the Jackson VFW.
Voting in RBC IV took place on Twitter (or X if you insist) on my account @sportsdr44 from March through this past week.

Lynda Carter won the title with wins over Daylight Saving Time, Zombie Apocalypse, Chicago (the band), Jake from State Farm and Snickers.
The 100-0 win over Zombie Apocalypse in the semifinals of the Park Vu Motel Pod is one of only two shutouts in RBC history. The other also occurred this year when Patches O’ Houlihan blanked James Buchanan in the Farmers and Merchants State Bank quarterfinals.
Lynda joins our list of champions:
Random Bracket Challenge I (Mini Donuts)
Random Bracket Challenge II (Chili)
Random Bracket Challenge III (Minnesota Muskies)
Sponsors
Thanks to the Pod sponsors.
Hedenquist Motors
Park Vu Motel
Farmers and Merchants State Bank (that’s Paul and Shawn chauffeuring customers around Alpha)
Welcome Creamery
Next year
There was also considerable discussion at the banquet about the controversial decision to have corporate sponsors rather than naming the pods after local greats past and present.
The list of those previous pod names:
RBC I: None (at least that I can remember)
RBC II: Tyrone Wacker, Dean Walters, Pat Frank, Matt Prunty
RBC III: Tom Schuller, Shelly Hotzler, Randy Baker, Rodger Taylor
RBC V entries
While the actual RBC competition lasts only several weeks, the committee works year-round on fine tuning the list of entrants.
A lot of names were bandied about at the banquet, but it remains to be seen if they’ll still be relevant when the selections are finalized next March.
Possible entrants tossed out included:
Bally Sports
Rally Sausage
Jamal Murray
Kristi Noem
Kristi Noem’s dog
Kristi Noem’s goat
Gravel pit
RFK Jr.
RFK Jr’s Brain Worm
Judge Engoron
