For the amateur baseball teams in Region 13C, Sunday is a day former Chicago Cubs great Ernie Banks would enjoy as 10 of the 14 teams will play two games.
Jackson and Lakefield are among those teams.
At 2 p.m., the Bulls will host Mountain Lake and the Frogs will play at Windom. Lakefield and Jackson will then match up at Wacker Field at about 5 p.m.
The Bulls already own one win over each of their Sunday opponents this season, having won 9-2 at Lakefield on May 15 and 5-2 over Mountain Lake on May 18 at St. James.
It will be the first meeting of the season between the Frogs and Pirates. Windom travels to Lakefield on July 10.
Windom leads the First Nite League with a 10-3 record, with Jackson second at 11-4. The Pirates have swept the regular-season series from the Bulls. Fairmont has a 5-3 record.
Following Sunday’s games, the Bulls will have two league games remaining, the Pirates will have four and the Martins nine.
In the Gopher League, Milroy and Luverne are tied in the win column. The Irish are 10-0 and the Redbirds are 10-2. Hadley is 7-3.
Milroy hosts the Buttermakers in one of its Sunday games and then hosts Luverne on Wednesday.

Former Jackson Bull and Heron Lake Laker Tom Hady has appeared in the two last games for the Class B Shakopee Indians as they’re hosting a tournament this weekend at Joe Schleper Stadium.
He pitched the eighth and ninth innings and took the loss Saturday as Shakopee fell to the Class A 10th-ranked St. Anthony Hogs 8-7. Hady allowed one run on three hits, walked one and struck out two.
On Friday, he didn’t give up a run in two innings of a 6-5 loss to the Eagan Bandits, allowing three hits and walking one.
Shakopee, which received votes in the Class B poll, closes out the tournament Sunday vs. the top-ranked Blaine Fusion.
