Jackson and Lakefield will both be in action at home in First Nite League amateur baseball Wednesday.
The Bulls (10-7) will host Mountain Lake (4-8) in a 7:30 p.m. contest at Wacker Field.
It's their first meeting of the year. They're scheduled to play again on Wednesday, July 14 at St. James.
Meanwhile, the Frogs (9-5) host Fox Lake (8-8) at Stan King Field. That's also scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start.
It's their second matchup this season. The Frogs were 5-3 winners at Truman on June 9.
Jackson also plays again Thursday as the Bulls have a nonleague game at Lamberton. Lakefield is off until next Wednesday when it travels to Worthington.
The feature match on Wednesday will be in Luverne, where the Redbirds (13-1) host Windom (14-1).
Two Gopher League teams will square off at Pipestone, where the A's (8-5) host Tracy (3-13).
There are also a couple of nonleague games Wednesday. Hadley has a short trip as the Buttermakers head to Marshall to face the A's.
The other nonleague game has a team traveling a little further as the Milroy Irish host the Tempe, Ariz. Banditos at The Irish Yard.
The Arizona team has four games scheduled in Minnesota, playing at Maple Lake Thursday, Dassel-Cokato Friday and Howard Lake on Saturday.

Fairmont graduate Luke Becker is hitting .293 for the Schaumburg Boomers of the independent Frontier League. He's second on the team in runs batted in with 16 and walks with 17.
Fairmont grad Jack Hested picked up his first win of the season for the Coastal Collegiate Baseball League team he plays for, the Beach Turtles in Jacksonville on Saturday. Jack went 7 2/3 innings in a 9-8 win against the North Florida Black Sox.
Derek Shoen of Truman is hitting .271 for the Bismarck Larks of the Northwoods League. He's tied for seventh in the league in RBI with 20 in 18 games. He's also pitched in four games and has a 1-2 record with an earned-run average of 4.95. Shoen has struck out 18 batters in 20 innings.
