The defending state champion is rated first in two of the four classes of the preseason ratings by the Minnesota Baseball Coaches Association, and all are in the top 10.
Cherry is the Class 1A leader, followed by Parkers Prairie and 2024 state champ Springfield.
Reigning Class 2A champ Rockford is the Class 2A leader. Belle Plaine of the Big South Conference is fifth and Montevideo of Section 3AA is sixth. Fairmont is among the other teams receiving votes.
Totino-Grace is the defending Class 3A champ and leads the preseason poll.
Wayzata is the leader in Class 4A, with defending champion East Ridge eighth.
Jackson County Central is scheduled to open its season Tuesday, April 1 at Worthington. The home opener at Wacker Field is Tuesday, April 8 vs. Blue Earth Area.
Martin County West’s season, home and Valley Conference opener is Thursday, April 3 vs. Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther.
