Basketball ratings
JCC still 5th in Class 2A boys poll
Jackson County Central is still fifth in the latest Class 2A boys basketball rankings by Minnesota Basketball News, a statewide basketball publication.
The Huskies are 5-0. Their next game is Friday at Fairmont.
Waseca (7-0) of the Big South Conference moved up one place to third in Class 2A.
Montevideo (6-0) of Section 3AA is new to the ratings at No. 10. JCC will play the Thunderhawks on Monday, Dec. 30 in Marshall. Albany (5-0) remains first.
Two other leaders are the same in the boys ratings, Cherry (7-0) in Class 1A and Cretin-Derham Hall (5-0) in Class 4A. Benilde-St. Margaret’s (4-0) moved from second to first in Class 3A.
In the girls ratings, Marshall (8-0) is again second in Class 3A.
All of the leaders remain the same for the girls, Goodhue (6-1) in Class 1A, Providence Academy (9-0) in Class 2A, Benilde-St. Margaret’s (3-3) in Class 3A and Hopkins (7-1) in Class 4A.
