It’s pretty likely that the winner of Thursday’s Jackson County Central-Pipestone game will be the number one seed for the upcoming Section 3AA boys basketball tournament.
The Huskies will host the Arrows in the auxiliary gym at JCC High School with a pair of section wrestling duals taking place in the main gym.
JCC will be playing its third game in four nights.
The most recent game for the Huskies was a 69-60 road win at Redwood Valley Tuesday, avenging an earlier loss to the Cardinals at home.
Three players scored in double figures for Jackson County Central with Roman Voss scoring 22 points, Travis Rogotzke 16 and Erik Hesebeck 14.
On Monday JCC had lost 85-70 to Southwest Minnesota Christian in Edgerton.
The Huskies have a 13-8 record entering Thursday’s game. The Arrows are 12-8.
Windom’s record is 15-8, but JCC and Pipestone have already both completed a regular-season sweep of the Eagles.
Two other teams in the sub-section currently sport winning records as Montevideo is 11-9 and Luverne is 11-10.
Jackson County Central closes out its regular-season at home on Thursday, Feb. 23 vs. New Ulm.
