REDWOOD FALLS – Jackson County Central did all of its scoring over the last four innings in claiming a 10-6 win over Redwood Valley in Big South Conference baseball Thursday.
The Cardinals led 2-0 after three innings before the Huskies scored two runs in both of the fourth and fifth innings, four in the sixth and two in the seventh.
Payton Handevidt had three hits including a sixth-inning double and seventh-inning home run for JCC and also reached on an error.
Cameron Scholten and Logan Butzon each had two hits and reached on an error and Bryson Powers also had two hits.
Butzon pitched the first six innings to get the win. He struck out three. Brett Rossow pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the Huskies.
Jackson County Central is now 2-4, while Redwood is 7-2.
The Huskies have four games in four days scheduled next week. JCC is slated to host Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Monday and travel to Blue Earth Area Tuesday before hosting Pipestone in a doubleheader Thursday at Wacker Field.
