ST. JAMES – The Jackson County Central girls basketball team rebounded from a loss the night before to beat St. James Area 81-72 Saturday at St. James Event Center.
The Huskies are now 13-7, while the Saints are 7-13.
Both teams are jostling for position in the upcoming Section 3AA South Sub-Section tournament. JCC had lost at Pipestone (6-12) on Friday.
Sadie Voss had had 34 points, eight steals, seven assists and five rebounds for Jackson County Central.
Rylie Cother posted 19 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Maci Farmer had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Kylee Wenzel scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Huskies have a stretch of five games in eight days ahead. It starts by hosting Blue Earth Area Monday on Senior Night.
JCC then travels to Marshall (17-4) Tuesday, is at Tri-City United (3-15) Friday, hosts Caledonia (13-8) Saturday and Martin County West (6-11) on Monday, Feb. 14.
