The Jackson County Central boys basketball team put a wrap on the 2020-21 season with a virtual banquet.
Coach Alex Hein announced the awards.
Sharing the Offensive Most Valuable Player award were Carter Ahrens, Gavin Jacobsen and Travis Rogotzke. Hein said they were the Huskies' most consistent scoring threats and each had a big games during the season.
The team's Defensive MVPs were Clay Cranston and Damien Phaly. Hein said they both locked down the opponent's best scorers, got blocks, defensive rebounds, steals and changed the game with their defense.
Jon Hall was recipient of the Leadership Award for a player who influenced his teammates. Hein said Hall had a big impact on the team and coaches and was an energy leader.
The Coaches R1 Award is given to the players that most represented the team's values. They were great energy leaders, worked hard and were excellent leaders for their younger teammates. Earning that award were Nick Stammer and Caleb Soleta.
