Andrew Boyum was the boys individual champion as the Jackson County Central boys cross country team was third in the team standings at the Bruce Gluf Invitational Saturday in Luverne.
The Huskies did not have a complete girls team. Martin County West did not have a complete team in either the boys or girls divisions.
Boyum won the 47-runner varsity boys race in a time of 17:29.4.
MCW's Jamesson Forsberg was second (17:46.4) and JCC's Evan Paplow third (17:46.5).
Luverne won the boys team title with 38 points, followed by Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey (54) and JCC (64).
Jackson County Central's girls had two runners earn T-shirts for placing in the top 15 as Olivia Anderson was eighth (22:48.9) and Elese Paplow ninth (22:50.4).
Katie Hartke of Martin County West was third (21:23.0).
MCW goes to Mankato for a meet hosted by Loyola Friday.
The Huskies and Mavericks will both compete in the JCC Invitational Thursday, Sept. 24 at Loon Lake Golf Course.
