Jackson County Central’s girls had 10 all-conference performances and the boys four at the Big South Conference Small School Division track and field meet Saturday in Redwood Falls. The top three finishers in individual events and the top two relay teams earned all-conference honors.
Daysia Tomlin earned all-conference honors in three girls events as she was first in the 100 meters, second in the shot put and was on the second-place 4x200-meter relay team.
Rylie Cother picked up two all-conference awards as she won the high jump and was second in the 100-meter hurdles. Hannah Carson earned a pair of all-conference honors as she was on the second-place 4x200 squad and placed third in the 200 meters.
Also earning two all-conference honors was Natalia Botello-Ramos, who was third in the 100 meters and ran a leg of the 4x200.
Receiving one all-BSC honor each were Adyson VanWesten, second in the 4x200; Emma Haren, second in the high jump; Izzy Moonen, third in the 300-meter hurdles; and Tianna Uilk, third in shot put.
Ben Dahlin was an all-conference performer in two events as he won both the 100 meters and 200 meters. Other boys earning all-conference were Clay Malchow, second in the 110-meter hurdles; and Grant Ambrose, second in pole vault.
The Huskies were third in the girls team standings and sixth in the boys. The Big South Conference Large School Division meet is Tuesday, May 21 in Fairmont.
JCC’s next meet is Tuesday at the Trojan Relays in Worthington.
