
The Jackson Bulls play for the final time in June Wednesday when they host Heron Lake in a 7:30 p.m. First Nite League amateur baseball game at Wacker Field.
Jackson split a pair of one-run games on the road last weekend and is 7-6 overall, 6-4 in league play. Heron Lake is 1-10 and 1-8.
The Bulls won the first game between the teams in Heron Lake on May 11.
Last Saturday Jackson was a 5-4 winner over St. James in a scheduled seven inning game that went eight innings.
Haiden Warmka walked with one out in the eighth inning for the Bulls and later scored on a Talan Holm groundout.
Warmka and Seth Busch both had a hit and walked once for Jackson. Carter Snyder doubled. Also recording hits were Easton Bahr, Will Larson and Cael Miller.
Landon Vaske pitched the first four innings. Javen Baumgarn pitched the fifth and sixth, Andrew Boyum came in to face one batter and then Baumgarn returned to the mound to finish out the game and pick up the win.
On Sunday Jackson dropped a 2-1 game in Windom.
Evan Olesen had two hits for the Bulls. Miller doubled. Andy Wolf, Bahr and Snyder all had hits.
Alex Bretzman pitched the first seven innings with Olesen pitching the eighth.
