HADLEY – Jackson split a pair of road amateur baseball games Sunday, beating Hadley 16-6 in five innings after losing to the Milroy Irish 12-4 earlier in the day.
In the win over the Buttermakers, Lucas Gardner had two hits including a home run, walked twice and had four runs batted in; Andy Wolf had a hit, walked three times and had four RBI; Trace Michelson had a hit and was hit by a pitch three times; and Chris Gumto recorded a hit and walked twice.
Jackson batters reached base 20 times by either a walk or being hit by a pitch. The Bulls scored nine runs in the fifth inning.
Gardner pitched the first two innings, Michelson went two innings and got the win and Pat Boggess pitched the final inning.
At Milroy, Olesen had three hits, Gardner had two hits including a double, Wolf had a hit and walked three times and Easton Bahr had a hit and walked.
Olesen took the pitching loss, with Kevin Holm and Sean Minder also pitching for Jackson.
The Bulls host Heron Lake at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wacker Field.
