
Playing for the second straight night in a stretch of six scheduled games in 11 days, the Jackson Bulls were 11-1 winners in eight innings over the Fox Lake Foxes in a First Nite League amateur baseball game Wednesday at Wacker Field.
The game was originally scheduled to be played in Truman, but an afternoon thunderstorm that hit Martin County caused the teams to flip home dates. The teams are now scheduled to play in Truman on Wednesday, July 2.
Ryan Rasche went the distance on the mound for Jackson, allowing five hits, walking two and striking out nine. Kaiden Musser took the loss for Fox Lake.
Blake Evans had three hits including a double, walked and had four runs batted in for the Bulls, while Evan Olesen had three hits including a double.
Cael Miller had two hits and was hit by a pitch; Seth Busch had a hit, walked twice and was hit by a pitch; and Chris Gumto had a hit and was hit by a pitch.
Jackson is 5-3 overall, 5-3 in league play. The Bulls host Lakefield at 2 p.m. Sunday.
