Five Jackson pitchers combined to reach double figures in strikeouts for the second straight game to start the season as the Bulls went on the road to win 9-2 over Heron Lake at Memorial Field Sunday.
Ben Scheevel, Kevin Holm, Pat Boggess, Sean Minder and Lucas Gardner combined to allow four hits, walk four, hit two batters and strike out 10.
Evan Olesen had two hits for Jackson, including his fifth double of the season. He was also hit by a pitch and had three runs batted in.
Andy Wolf was on base five times as he had three hits and was hit by a pitch twice.
Alex Bretzman had two hits for the Bulls, Blaise Jacobsen singled, walked and was hit by a pitch and Zach Neal walked twice and was hit by a pitch.
Leighton Polz had an RBI double and walked for the Bulls, while Shad Wacker and Payton Handevidt each had one hit.
Jackson plays its next two games at Wacker Field, hosting Worthington Wednesday and Lakefield next Sunday.
