JACKSON – Weather permitting, the Jackson County Central wrestling team will compete three consecutive days.
The Class 1A second-ranked Huskies have a 6-3 dual meet record after going 3-3 and making into the top division at The Clash in La Crosse last weekend.
JCC starts the busy stretch with a Big South Conference West Division home dual vs. Windom/Mountain Lake Thursday. The Cobras have a 4-7 overall dual record.
The Huskies are then slated to travel to Adrian Friday to face Adrian/Ellsworth. The Dragons are 6-3.
On Saturday, Jackson County Central goes to the Big South Conference tournament in St. James. Wrestling starts at 10 a.m. on four mats at the St. James Event Center.
Quarterfinals and first-round wrestlebacks are tentatively scheduled for an 11 a.m. start, second-round wrestlebacks at 12:30 p.m., semifinals in both the championship and consolation brackets at 1:30 and the finals (championship, third- and fifth-place matches) at 4 p.m. Rounds will start earlier if the tournament is moving faster.
All 13 BSC teams will compete in one tournament.
The top three place winners at each weight class receive medals and will be named all-conference. There will also be an additional 14 at-large all-conference wrestlers named.
There will also be a JV tournament on three mats in the old gym at St. James Area High School.
