JACKSON – The Jackson County Central wrestling team is wrestling four duals in a four-day stretch this week.
Class 1A second-ranked JCC opened that period by winning 10 of 14 matches in a 49-21 win over No. 7 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City under the spotlight at home Tuesday.
The Huskies picked up six points in six of their wins.
Winners by fall were Isaac Rodriguez (106), Nolan Ambrose (120), Kie Anderson (126), Logan Butzon (132) and William Freking (195). Ben Dahlin (113) won by forfeit.
Payton Handevidt (160) won by major decision. Winning decisions were Thomas Freking (138), Matthew Haley (170) and Caleb Vancura (182).
Jackson County Central wrestles a pair of Big South Conference West Division opponents Thursday in Pipestone. JCC faces Worthington at 5 p.m. and then meet the host Arrows in the second dual of the triangular. Worthington and Pipestone wrestle the final dual.
The Huskies are 10-3 overall and 4-0 in the conference. The Trojans are 8-5 and 4-2 while the Arrows are 9-5 and 3-2.
On Friday, JCC wrestles Adrian at 5 p.m. Friday in Windom, followed by Windom/Mountain Lake taking on the Dragons. The Huskies will not wrestle the host Cobras.
