A busy week for the Jackson County Central volleyball team continued Thursday with a 3-2 nonconference loss to Adrian/Ellsworth in Ellsworth.
The Dragons won the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-23. The Huskies pulled even in the match by winning the next two sets, 26-24 and 25-13. Host AE won the fifth set 15-13.
JCC was playing for the third time in four days in a stretch that has them playing five times in six days.
Bailey Finck had a double-double of 31 set assists and 11 digs. She also had six ace serves.
Paylin Sether recorded 18 kills for the Huskies. Madelyn Rowe had five blocks.
Jackson County Central, now 7-9, plays in the 28-team Twin Cities Challenge Friday and Saturday.
The Huskies will play two matches at Eastview High School Friday, facing Mille Lacs at 4 p.m. and either Eastview or St. Agnes at 6:30. Tournament matches are also being played at Burnsville High School.
