Carsen Musser is off to a 2-0-1 (two wins, no regulation losses and one overtime loss) start to the season in goal for the Madison Capitols of the United States Hockey League.
The Sherburn native started his season by making 18 saves in a win over the Des Moines Buccaneers and 20 in a win over the Chicago Steel. He then had 41 stops in an overtime loss to the Lincoln Stars.
For the season Musser has made 79 saves on 89 shots for a save percentage of .888. His goals against average is 3.26.
Madison has a 4-0-1 record for nine points, one point behind the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the USHL’s Eastern Conference.
The Capitols host the Muskegon Lumberjacks tonight (Friday) and Saturday.
