Jackson County Central was third in the girls team standings and fifth in the boys at the Tri for Health-KKOJ Invitational cross country meet Thursday at Jackson Golf Club. Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin’s girls were second, while the boys were incomplete.
Luverne won the girls team title, led by individual champion Jenna DeBates with a 5000-meter time of 19:27.09.
Windom was the boys team champion, with Worthington’s Fanuel Wolday the individual winner in 16:24.42.
The next meet for the Huskies is the Rebel Invitational on Tuesday, while the Mavericks are off until the I-90 Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 5.
