
Martin County West graduate Katie Lange dominated her way to her second national title at the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.
A junior at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich., Lange went 5-0 in the tournament. She was also NCWWC champ at 143 pounds with Augsburg in 2023.
Lange won four matches by tech fall and one by fall, outscored her opponents 44-0 and spent a little over two minutes per match on the mat, wrestling a total of 10 minutes and 42 seconds.

Lange was 20-0 on the season. She won seven matches by fall, 11 by tech fall and two by decision.
Grand Valley State was fourth in the team standings. Iowa was first with 201.5 points, followed by North Central College (181), McKendree University (158.5) and the Lakers (129.5).
