ST. PAUL – Jackson County Central won the eighth state wrestling championship in school history Thursday night, beating Royalton/Upsala 45-23 in the state title match at Xcel Energy Center.
The Huskies won Class AA state titles in 1999 and 2000.
In Class A, JCC has claimed state championships in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and now in 2022.
The individual portion of the state tournament will be held Friday and Saturday.
