
Jackson County Central will play for a third straight berth in the state Class 2A football tournament when the Huskies play Pipestone in the Section 3AA championship game at 7 p.m. Friday at Trojan Field in Worthington.
The top-seeded Huskies are 9-0, while the second-seeded Arrows are 7-2.
JCC handed Pipestone one of those losses, 45-6 in Jackson in the regular season finale on Oct. 16 in Jackson. The other loss for the Arrows was 6-0 in overtime to Luverne.
State tournament pairings will be announced Saturday.

First entrant
Moose Lake/Willow River became the first team to qualify for the state Class 2A football tournament with a 24-14 win over Mesabi East in the Section 7AA championship game Thursday in Esko.
It’s the seventh straight trip to state for the Rebels and the 18th overall for MLWR since 2007. Moose Lake also qualified in 1977.
Levi Mikrot scored all 24 points for the winners as he scored touchdowns on runs of 41, 53 and 1 yards and also ran in all three two-point conversions.
