Clean sweep
Roman Voss adds Mr. Football to collection

Jackson County Central senior Roman Voss made it a clean sweep of the state’s top football awards as he was named as the winner of the 2025 Mr. Football award.
The award is sponsored by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and the Minnesota Vikings.
In the past few days Voss was also tabbed as the Gatorade Minnesota Football Player of the Year and the MaxPreps Minnesota High School Football Player of the Year. He also signed his letter of intent to play at the University of Minnesota, where he is projected to play tight end for the Gophers.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Voss played quarterback and safety for the Huskies, who compiled a 13-0 record for the second straight season and won their second consecutive Class 2A state championship.
He had 1,902 yards and 21 touchdowns passing and rushed for 1,893 yards and 30 TDs on offense. Voss was a four-time District Offensive Player of the Year.
Defensively he was credited with 18 tackles and one interception, returning it for a touchdown.
Voss is the first player from a Class 2A school to be named Mr. Football.
Camden Hungerholt of nine-player LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle-Pacelli won the award last year.
