Jackson Golf Club will host its club tournaments this weekend.
The women's tournament will be held Saturday, with four groups starting between 9 and 9:30 a.m.
Play in the men's tournament will be held over two days. The championship and first flights will play 18 holes both Saturday and Sunday, with the other flights playing on Sunday only.
Elyse Holm is the defending women's club champion, who will play in the final group that starts at 9:30.
Eight-time champion Kelly Benson is also in that foursome. She's part of a three-way tie for most women's club titles with Linda Handevidt and LeeAnn Steen.
Kristin Hanson won the 2019 club title and finished just one shot behind Holm last year. Rounding out the group is Jan Fransen, who was just shots off the pace last year.
Tournament organizer Ed Gallagher calls the field for the men's tournament unusual, but is wide open.
Nine-time champion Brent Chozen is the only past winner is in the field. He's second on the list for club titles behind Brett Benson's 10. Benson isn't playing in the tourney again this year.
Chozen has won club titles in five different decades and will try to make it a half-dozen this weekend.
Defending champion Brent Anderson is also not in the field this year, nor is another contender, Jack Brinkman.
Jerrod Hansen and Tommy Evans both figure to be contenders this year after finishing one shot behind Anderson in last year's club tourney. Hansen has already won one club title this summer, winning in Lakefield last weekend.
Others who could contend are Austin Olson, Nick Arp, Jack Ringkob, Nate Benson and Mike Wierson.
