Martin County West won the girls team title and Katie Hartke was the individual champion at the Valley Conference cross country meet Tuesday in Lake Crystal.
The Mavericks were first with 33 points, 10 points better than runner-up Mankato Loyola/Cleveland’s 43 points.
A junior, Hartke topped the 22-runner girls field in a 5K time of 21:46.51.
MCW’s boys were fourth in the team standings. Senior Jamesson Forsberg earned all-conference honors by placing seventh of 40 finishers in 17:58.22.
The individual boys winner was Josiah DeMaris of Madelia/Truman/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther in 16:51.78.
Martin County West will compete in the Section 2A meet Thursday, Oct. 27 at Baylor Park in Norwood Young America.
