
Jackson County Central continues its Big South Conference Small School Division softball schedule by hosting Blue Earth Area in a 5:30 p.m. game Thursday.
The Huskies are 3-0 overall and started division play Tuesday with a pair of victories over Windom on Tuesday, 9-0 and 19-5.
Hadley Wachal pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out 12 Eagle batters in the opener. CJ Pauling had two hits.
Mady Wachal pitched the first five innings of the nightcap, allowing two runs and fanning six. Brielle Mouw went the final two frames.
Three players had three hits apiece for JCC.
Bailey Finck had two doubles, with Lauren Johnson and Miley VanDeVere each collecting three singles.
The Buccaneers are 0-3 to start the season, 0-2 in the division. BEA lost a pair to Windom, 15-0 and 16-4, and fell to Fairmont 27-2.
After Thursday, Jackson County Central, ranked 15th in the state in Class 2A, will have a week off before playing at Class 2A No. 11 Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial.
