
Luverne scored 10 runs in the first inning and went on to beat Jackson County Central 19-1 in five innings in a Big South Conference Small School Division baseball game Tuesday at Wacker Field.
The Cardinals would go on to score four runs in the second inning, three in the third and two in the fifth. The Huskies scored their run in the fifth.
Ben Gallagher had two of JCC’s three hits and scored its lone run. Talan Holm had the other hit.
Luverne is 4-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Jackson County Central is 1-3 and 1-1.
The Huskies are scheduled to host Pipestone in a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Thursday. That is a change in starting time.
