Worthington moved its record to 3-1 on the season with a 20-1 win over Lakefield in an amateur baseball game at Stan King Field Sunday. The Frogs are 0-2.
Two players got on base twice for Lakefield, which had three hits in the game.
Gabe Wolff doubled and was hit by a pitch and Ike Rogers had a hit and walked once. Dustin Pronk had the other hit for the Frogs.
Brett Rossow was the starting pitcher and took the loss. Pronk and Justin Holinka also pitched.
Worthington pitchers recorded 17 strikeouts.
Tucker Brandner went five innings and fanned 13, Jake Brandner struck out the side in his only inning and Blake Ahrenstorff struck out one in his inning.
Daniel Castro had four hits and four runs batted in for the Cubs. Jake Brandner had three hits and five RBI and Tyler Linder had three hits and drove in one run.
Lakefield is scheduled to play at Windom at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
