ST. LOUIS – Two Martin County West graduates will wrestle in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships that open Friday.
Jaxson Rohman and Miles Fitzgerald will represent Augustana University in the tournament at Chaifetz Arena at Saint Louis University in St. Louis.
Rohman is a freshman with a 16-5 record. He’s seeded 15th at 125 pounds and takes on second-seeded Paxton Rosen of Central Oklahoma (25-4) in the first round. Rohman then faces either Joe Arroyo of Wisconsin-Parkside (14-3) or Tyshawn White of Shippensburg (7-1) in his second match.
Fitzgerald, a redshirt freshman, is 20-5 and the No. 9 seed at 165. His first-round opponent is eighth-seeded Nate Treppanier of Lindenwood (21-3). In his second match, Fitzgerald wrestles either top-seeded Matt Malcom of Nebraska-Kearney (26-2) or Talon Seitz of Newberry (6-3).
