Roman Voss announced on social media Friday that he will announce his decision on which college he will attend on Monday.
In early May he had said that he had narrowed the possibilities to two, home state Minnesota and Alabama.
Voss received 14 offers from Power Four conference football schools including at least two from each conference. He is the number one ranked recruit in Minnesota for the Class of 2026 according to Prep Redzone.
Voss was in Tuscaloosa last weekend after earlier visiting Minnesota.
Voss made his official visit to Minnesota in March.

As the recruiting process has evolved, Voss has generally been looked at as a tight end, but that could change depending on the rest of the recruiting class by whichever school he decides on.
Minnesota would benefit from the top player in the state choosing to stay in his home state.
The Gophers have landed the top high school recruit in the state in three of the last four years, Trey Bixby of Rochester John Marshall (2022); Koi Perich of Esko (2024); and Emmanuel Karmo of Robbinsdale Cooper (2025).
The top in-state recruit in 2023, Jaxon Howard, also of Cooper, began at LSU but transferred to the Gophers last offseason.
Here’s the top 10 recruits in Minnesota from the 2026 class and their college commitment, if made:
1. Roman Voss, Jackson County Central, uncommitted
2. Andrew Trout, Rocori, Minnesota
3. Howie Johnson, Forest Lake, Minnesota
