Sadie Hotzler of Jackson is in second place in Pole Bending after her first run at the National Little Britches Rodeo Finals at Lazy E Arena in Edmond, Okla.
Hotzler, the defending world champion in the event, had a time of 20.467 seconds. There are 161 entries in that event.That was just off the first-place run of 20.466 seconds by Alayna Yarbrough of Louisville, Mississippi.
Sadie had a time of 14.179 seconds in Barrel Racing and sits in 13th place out of 195 entries. First place is Tara Forester of Arcadia, Kansas in 13.722.
Hotzler took a no time in her first attempt in Breakaway Roping.
The NLBRF runs through Saturday.
