Brandon Williamson could not have had a better beginning to his first start with the Class Double-A Arkansas Travelers Thursday.
The Martin County West graduate had an immaculate inning in the first inning as he struck out three Northwest Arkansas Naturals batters on nine pitches.
It's his second immaculate inning as a professional. He also had one for the High-A Everett AquaSox on May 29 of this year.
Williamson wound wind up taking the loss as the Naturals scored single runs in the third and fourth innings and scored two in the fifth.
In his five innings, he allowed four earned runs on seven hits, walking two and striking out five.
Williamson was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the second round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft out of Texas Christian University. He attended NIACC prior to TCU.
